MD3200 Series Cardboard Shredder
The MD3200 series cardboard shredders are free standing cardboard shredders set on castor wheels so they can easily be moved around the work place. There are two different models. One produces a mat, ideal for packing round almost any type of goods or for void fill. The second model produces strips for void fill or animal bedding. They will also cut up newspaper up to 50 sheets thick at a time.
The matting is soft, flexible and and so proves popular for wrap packaging goods. It can also be used simply as infill within packing cases, but many businesses find strips to be quicker and easier to 'stuff'! As it has a powerful 1500 watt single phase motor and works from a normal 13amp 3 pin plug making it very portable and versatile. It is the next step up from the HSM 400, ED299 or CP333 models for those operations processing larger volumes.
We recommend this model for usage of up to 5 hours a day, but for no more than 2 hours at a time. For more extensive usage we would recommend moving up to one of the other machines in our range. Please feel free to call to discuss your requirements.
The shredder will cut up small metal staples and tape, but care should be taken not to feed large solid items into it. The cutter is open ended so sections of cardboard of any width can be fed through the shredder. The machine then cuts off the cardboard 320mm from the side so the cardboard can then be fed through again until it has all been shredded.

The shredders require no specialist maintenance. The drive chains just need oiling every 250 hours or once every 6 months.
The shredder will shred most types of cardboard, however there are some very rigid cardboards used for example on pallet boxes that the shredders will not cut. If you use this type of very rigid cardboard we would advise sending us a sample to make sure it is suitable to be shredded by our machines.
